Jewellery Care at Lynsey de Burca

Wear and Repair:

• Every piece of jewellery, no matter how well-crafted, is vulnerable to wear over time.
• Our designs are crafted to be both worn and cherished.
• Should anything happen to your piece, rest assured, we're here to help. We provide complimentary repair services for all our jewellery, and free resizing for our rings.

Gold Plated Jewellery:

• Each of our gold-plated pieces is meticulously plated for quality. However, given the nature of plating, wear can occur over time.
• We're pleased to offer complimentary replating for all our gold-plated items.

Sterling Silver Care:

• Over time, sterling silver, like other precious metal alloys, can oxidise. But when cared for correctly, silver matures beautifully, developing a rich patina.
  • Clean with a gentle soap and water solution, let water bead up, then pat dry with a soft cloth.
  • Store in a cool, dry place, ideally in a tarnish-preventive bag or wrapped in soft felt or cloth.
  • Store pieces separately to avoid scratches.
  • Limit exposure to air and light during storage to prevent tarnishing.
  • Avoid wearing in chlorinated water or around household chemicals.

Matte Finish Care:

• Some of our designs feature a matte finish. Over time, with regular wear, the metal might adopt a shinier appearance. This is a natural evolution.
  • If you favour the matte look, you can gently rub the metal with a grey 3M pad.
  • We also offer complimentary re-matting for jewellery purchased from our website.
